Sometimes life has its little rewards - checking in at Lima airport for our LAN Peru flight to Miami, our names were called over the PA system, well what haven't we done now? But to our surprise we were upgraded to Business Class and enjoyed a few wines, lovely lunch, etc etc. We made the most of it as it will probably never happen again. Overnight stay in Miami with a brief visit downtown where we had our touristy photo taken with the beautiful coloured parrots. Then headed off to Houston to stay with my cousin Lorenzo and his wife Heather (and expecting their first baby in September). To our surprise Diana's Aunt Carla from Milan was also there so that was very special to spend a few days with the three of them. Lorenzo took us to NASA and to the flight training centre at Continental Airlines where he is a pilot and which we found very interesting. We also had a lovely day with Diana's second cousin Fernando and his wife Nathalie and then everyone went out for dinner which was great to be all together. Diana felt like a beer, (it was very hot in Houston up to 40 degrees) but wasn't prepared for the Texan size - as the waitress said - after all, everything is big in Texas!
